As a matter of fact, Black and Mild cigars have more nicotine substance compared to other cigarettes. They may differ in some aspects particularly on how they’re made and the way they’re smoked, but the threat of developing diseases due to smoking is similar.  If you think you’re safe to smoke cigars, think again. Cigars and cigarettes are both made of the same substance so the danger it poses to your body is quite similar.

These tars eventually break off and will go to other parts of your body via the blood vessels. Sometimes, they cause clots, which then cause a stroke. So, before you decide to open a pack, take the time to unlearn everything you knew about Black and Mild cigars because I am about to drop some knowledge.

Studies from the Rush University Medical Center show smoking cigars can lead to cancer, particularly cancer of the mouth. It also leads to a number of other oral problems such as gingivitis, gingival recession, teeth discoloration, bad breath, and much more.

Some may argue it is safer to smoke Black and Mild cigars because you don’t need to inhale it hard before you puff it out, unlike cigarettes. If that’s the case, cigar smoke should not reach the lungs, right? If only you can prevent it. But in reality, there are still substances that penetrate your system.

Black and Mild cigars contain chemicals and toxic components like cadmium, carbon monoxide, ammonia, and hydrocarbons. Black and Mild cigars also have a higher concentration of carcinogenic tar than cigarettes which should definitely not enter the body at all.

5. It Can Harm Your Family

If you think you’re the only one who’s at risk by smoking Black and Mild cigars, think again. Smoking in general places a high risk for both smokers and second-hand smokers. But because cigar’s smoke is not meant to be ingested, it poses a greater harm to the people around you who are subjected to it. While you can easily puff out the smoke to prevent yourself from inhaling it, the people around you will not have the same choice or control.

So there you have it. Smoking Black and Mild cigars are not as safe as you convinced yourself it is. I understand it’s hard to accept the fact and contemplate on whether to treat it with importance or simply ignore the risks for the pleasure. The thing is, people like to believe in an excuse to smoke which I have to admit I myself was guilty of. Old habits are really hard to break. But in times of struggle, it helps to think of the new benefits you’ll get in your life when you commit to quitting. Imagine adding a few more years to enjoy the company of friends and family, ain’t that a good reason or what?
