A First Timer’s Quick Tips For Buying A Cigar
The cigar world can be pretty confusing and intimidating for the first-timer. Without anyone to help you choose the right brand for you, and even the perfect humidor for your needs, it seems quite impossible to enter the cigar world.
But I’ve got here some tips for buying a cigar to help you cruise your way into the cigar world as sleek as you would the streets of Manhattan.
Humidor
There are dozens and dozens of brands and literally hundreds of cigars in a humidor. A humidor is a room with constant humidity to store cigars, cigarettes, or pipe tobacco. I have a mini humidor in my apartment and it helps me a lot with keeping my cigars fresh.
Cigar Box
The box itself tells you more about the cigar. You’ll see the brand name at the top, and the stamp showing where the cigar is produced.
Then, you can look at the open box, and start studying the kind of size or shape you want to smoke–which is really the first decision you’ll have to make when you walk into a humidor.
Aside from the size or shape, you’ll also want to ask yourself what type of wrapper you want to smoke, and how much you want to smoke it.
Cigar Singles
One of the great things about how cigar stores today are they’re organized to let you pick what cigar best suits your mood. You no longer have to buy cigars by boxes, instead, you can get cigars in singles.
So now you can pick out a cigar in the color, size, shape, and brand you want. You can even pick out different types to try which suits your taste.
