Men’s hairstyles aren’t really as bold as women’s hairstyles. In fact, classic men’s hairstyles are the ones that really stand the test of time and style. Let’s be honest here, while you can buy all the fashionable clothes, shoes, and accessories, a bad hair day can still ruin your look way too easily. So it pays to learn which hairstyles are both safe and stylish enough to match both your personality and your OOTD.

And that’s where classic men’s hairstyles come into the picture. Because, really, you can’t go wrong with a classic. So read on to find out the top 5 classic men’s hairstyles that will make, and not break, your looks.

Classic Men’s Hairstyles You Can Never Go Wrong With

Getting a haircut is more a routine than a luxury for us men. But should it really be like that? Why can’t we be more playful, more fashion-forward when it comes to our hair. I mean, we’ve already got the style, why not push it further?

Don’t worry, though. If going for bold hairstyles aren’t your thing, you can opt for any of these classic men’s hairstyles instead. You won’t have to worry about going out of style anytime soon with these ‘dos.

1. The Side Sweep

One of the most basic classic men’s hairstyles is the side swept style. It’s basically just parting your hair to one side, keeping it like that. Some men put pomade or wax to keep the hair in place. But the younger crowd prefer it windblown for a more dramatic effect.

2. The Buzz Cut

Buzz cuts haven’t gone out of fashion ’cause they’re perfect for men going for a look that’s extremely simple to maintain. Almost all celebrities have had a buzz cut phase, you probably did too. Don’t worry, girls dig it a lot.

3. The Pompadour

A hairstyle originally designed for women, the Pompadour only became one of classic men’s hairstyles because of Elvis Presley. It’s maintained by keeping your hair short at the back, and on the sides, while letting your hair grow on top. Then “pomp” or puff up your hair on top for this hairstyle, which is also my personal favorite.

4. The Shoulder-Length Cut

Women have a knack for shoulder-length hair on men. When well-maintained, of course. It’s mostly because it exhibits just how manly you can look in a hairstyle mostly seen on women. Not to mention the occasional man buns women just can’t get enough of.

5. The Slick Back

Don’t be misled by the easy maintenance of the slick back look. There’s actually more to it than what we think. This look is so intense, it can only be pulled off by really sleek men because not all cuts and hair textures can do this style.
