There really is no known easy way to instantly be in good shape. You ought to put in enough time and effort to achieve your the desired results. You need a combination of these three strategies to get both health and fitness! Personally, I use these strategies in maintaining my figure and keeping myself healthy. Remember how important exercise is in keeping a perfect body.
1. Keep a Workout Log Book
Keep a record of all the activities in your exercise routine. This is so you can keep track of your own progress.
It’s important to note your ultimate fitness goal first! Only then will you get to find if your routine is actually working or not.
Be specific in your records. Note the number of repetitions you made for every activity, and whether or not you had any difficulty in each activity.
2. Regularly Lift Weights
Weightlifting three times a week is an essential part of your overall workout routine. This helps get optimal results because it gives your muscles time to increase and continually rebuild.
It’s important to remember that when you don’t push your muscles to their full potential, they have the tendency to go back to the way they were. And no one wants lame muscles, right?
3. Increase Protein Intake
Unlike women, men lose weight faster and easier. That’s why it’s highly advisable for men to take on protein diets that help their muscles grow.
Men who workout around 4 (or more) times a week need about a gram of protein for every pound of his body weight. And if possible, eat 0.25 grams of protein 30 minutes after working out. And by protein after a workout, of course, I mean protein shakes, lean chicken breasts, and/or some eggs.
