The Most Awaited Films of 2016
2015 was an awesome year for movie-lovers. It was a year of fantastic remakes, sequels, and award-winning features. However, 2016 is just as fun as the year before. This time, we are graced with more remakes, introduction to new franchises, and of course, big blockbuster hits! If you have not felt the excitement for 2016 yet, you will when you see the list for the most awaited movies to watch this year!
1. Jason Bourne

This Bourne film is hotly anticipated. The fifth installment in the Bourne franchise signals a return to the series roots. Matt Damon will repeat his role as Jason Bourne, and Julia Stiles is back as Nikki Parsons. Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander, and Vincent Cassel are all making debuts into the cannon. The fifth Bourne is directed by Paul Greengrass who also directed two of the previous four films.
2. X-Men: Apocalypse

The title points to the end of days. For everybody’s favorite crop of mutant characters by 2016’s X-Men installment will actually serve as an introduction for a new face. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant is worshiped as a god and he’s about to rise again after thousands of years.
3. Ghostbusters

The previous Ghostbusters was one of the most popular movies of the eighties. The 1989 sequel may have fallen comparatively short, but after 25 years without even a sniff of slime, the 2016 series reboot has got everyone talking not least because of the cast of stars. Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones take lead roles for a film that will prove that girls can busts ghosts too.
4. Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

Ever since the second part of the Deathly Hollows, die hard Harry Potter fans have been aching and hoping for another magical movie of witchcraft and wizardry. Well, fans will be delighted to know they will get one this year. Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them will bring a unique perspective on the magical world. Eddie Redmayne will star in a movie that will send sorcery across the Atlantic and into 1920’s America.
5. Suicide Squad

If you like superhero movies but you like the super villain best of all. And if you like rooting for the one you really shouldn’t, then Suicide Squad is exactly the movie for you. A cast of stars as the darkest names in DC comics. From Harley Quinn to Deadshot to the Joker, they’re all here.
6. Deadpool

A character that has surfaced in the X-Men series before now. In 2016 Ryan Reynolds gets behind the mask for a Deadpool feature that’s been long in the making. Initial proposals for Wade Wilson to be given the big screen treatment was first tabled in 2000. The black and red badass is finally here sixteen years later, and he’s got a sick sense of humor.
7. Rogue One

Rogue One isn’t episode 8 of the central saga, but the first of a series of standalone films from the Star Wars universe. Chronologically it’ll sit between episodes three and four centering on an ultra risky mission to steal plans for the Death Star. The excitement is enough to light anybody’s saber.
8. Captain America: Civil War

Any Marvel movie is eagerly anticipated, but hype for the third installment of the Captain America trilogy is unprecedented. Civil war is not that far away from an all out Avengers movie. Such is the strength of its superhero cast. Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Antman are set for action against, or alongside Cap plus many more.
9. Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice

Take two of the biggest and most recognizable heroes in cinematic history and put them in the same blockbuster movie. It’s a simple idea and a seriously brilliant brain wave. Man of Steel meets Dark Knight for the showdown to end all showdowns. We know their histories and their stories , and it simply doesn’t get any bigger than this.
