Designed by the famed French designer Phillipe Starck, the yacht called “A” has become the most loved boat in the sea. At 394 feet with a cost of more than 300 million dollars, the ship is owned by Andrey Melnichenko, a 42-year-old Russian billionaire. The yacht’s radical exterior is more like a military ship or submarine, which is the subject of hot debate in yachting circles. The only thing that’s traditional about “A” is its wooden steering wheel. However, most of the time the captain controls the boat with a single small joystick or a touch screen. The yacht’s movement can be controlled by simply typing commands to tell the engine and thrusters what to do. It also has all the creature’s comforts including patches of grass for the owner’s dog which has its own place to call home when it’s out to sea.
