Before planning on a certain hairstyle you have to start by having healthy hair.  One tip is to avoid overwashing and shampoo less often.  Shampooing your hair everyday will strip oil and dry your hair and scalp.  Most stylists and barbers recommend using shampoo once or twice a week.  Most products are actually water-based so if you have hair products you need to wash that out with water, and no need for shampoo.  After washing your hair make sure you pat it dry instead of rubbing, especially if you’re trying to grow out your hair.  These are just some of the tips so watch the video and learn from it.
